Insurance organization in the southeastern US has a need for a Manager, Senior Associate Actuary. This is a leadership role required to streamline projects and promote accurate work. The incumbent will be working with new and existing client pricing for major product lines. There will be collaboration with management in Puerto Rico to enhance existing products or develop new products to help the business grow. The incumbent will also supervise credit STAT, GAAP, and Tax reserves, discuss reserve issues with cross functional areas, complete Annual Statement reserve exhibits, ensure that claims are adequate, streamline operational inefficiencies in the reserving process, provide actuarial justification for product filings, client profitability analysis and earned premium projections. The position has a key role in educating and supervising one lower level actuary in pricing. There will also be financial and reserving responsibilities to ensure the business needs are met along with compliance and accurate work in all areas. Candidates ideally will be coming from a P&C Actuarial oriented background and have at least 5 years of relevant industry experience. Pricing experience is mandatory for this role. Candidates with a strong Life/Financial Actuarial background will also be considered. Management and leadership skills are needed for the role. Spanish speaking is preferred but not required for the role.
