Job Description
The Judge Group is recruiting for a Tooling Engineer. The company providesenabling technologies for multiple industrial growth markets that requireadvanced technology and high reliability. The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for managing the Tool Buildprocess from final part design through production launch. Liquid Injection Molding (LIM), LiquidSilicone Rubber (LSR), or High Consistency Rubber (HCR) experience is required. This is a unique opportunity because of its locationin warm, sunny Florida AND very little travel is required due to sourcing atlocal tool shops.
Responsibilities:
* Review part designand make recommendations to improve the manufacturability of elastomeric parts.
* Liquid InjectionMolding (LIM), Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR), or High Consistency Rubber(HCR) experienceis required.
* Analyzesengineering drawings to facilitate a comprehensive knowledge of the partrequirements.
* Provides toolingdesign concepts and directs the design and drafting of final prints for toolbuilds.
* Plans, schedules,and monitors tool builds, schedules and leads tool design review meetings
* Works with ProjectEngineers and Program Managers to meet delivery schedules.
* Ensures that anytooling changes are documented and prints are updated.
* Troubleshoots andengineers solutions to tooling problems.
* Manage vendors todetermine specifications and arrange for the purchase of tooling and evaluatesfixtures needed according to specifications and quality standards.
* Ensures Toolingmeets cost targets and quality requirements.
Job Requirements:
* BS or AS Degree preferredbut equivalent directly related experience will be considered.
* Solid knowledge andexperience in directing the tool design & build for LIM, LSR, HCRmaterials.
* Must have a minimumof five (5) years related experience in tool builds or equivalent combinationof education and experience.
* Solid Modeling experience,SolidWorks preferred
* Knowledge of ScientificMolding principles
The compensation range for this opportunity is $75,000 -$85,000.
Relocation assistance to FLORIDA is included.
